Rachelle completed her Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta in 2006. After starting her career in Alberta, Rachelle decided to travel and work as a teacher through parts of Asia and Australia before returning to Canada to live and work in 2011. In 2012 she moved to Pemberton to work with a non-profit organization in the creation of a summer nature education program for kids aged five to twelve years. Her passion for nature education was ignited through this process, which lead her to aide in the creation of a preschool nature program as well as an after school program also based in Pemberton. She then moved to Whistler to start a nature based program for preschool aged children at Mountain Mini’s Childcare in Cheakamus before starting Whistler Outdoor Learning.

Teaching and connecting children with nature is something that feeds my soul.
